John Zaffiro has been an active performer in the Milwaukee area music scene for decades as a soloist and as a member of many bands and ensembles. He was a member of the Jazz/Fusion group Montage Project, was leader of the band Rainbows End, and spent over a decade with the George Busateri Band/AKA Spider George and the Web. His current projects include the group Jazz Flux and with iconic jazz vocalist Adekola Adedapo. He has performed at venues throughout the Mid-West including Milwaukee Summerfest, Alpine Valley Music Theatre, Marcus Performing Arts Center, the Potowotomi Northern Lights Theatre and as far away as Frenchman’s Reef Resort Hotel in St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands. He is a graduate of the first Jazz degree program in the USA from the Wisconsin Conservatory of Music where he studied under the mentorship of Jazz Guitarists Manty Ellis and Joe Pass. He has honed his craft and artistry to maintain his passion and love for music, and to reflect in his performance the highest degree of professionalism.
